The summer of the Beautiful White Horse analysis
The story by Willaim Saroyan about an Armenian boy named Aram and his cousin Mourad who find a horse. Aram is just minding his business when is cousin Mourad tells him he found a horse. Aram thinks the horse is stolen and has serious regrets. Aram ends up riding anyway end gets good at it. Then a farmer John Byro says his horse has been stolen and Aram realizes that Mourad stole the horse. Even though the horse was stolen Aram is still happy because Mourad taught him to ride. The interesting thing about this book is that there is not dialogue. I think Saroyan did this on purpose so the reader could focus on Aram the main character who is also the point of view the book is from. The setting seems kind of negative because the family is poor and are from Armenia where they were once rich. I think because the two main characters being poor they enjoy doing simple things like riding horses. Aram is very proud of his family and has regrets riding the horse because his family is known for its honesty. Mourad on the other hand does not care and is the crazy adventurous on of the family. Mourads adventurous character ends up spreading to Aram though. That is my analysis of "The Summer of the beautiful White Horse".
