This week we did many cool things. The first cool thing we did was go see the Alley Cats. The Alley Cats are a doo wop group with four people named Royce, Mando, John, and I forgot the other one. They did a good job at singing and had a lot of talent. Two of them had a high voice and two had a low voice. Their particular style of music is called A cappella which means they use no musical instruments. Instead they use their voices. Another thing we did this week was go meet an author named Alexis O'neill. She spoke about her writing process, brainstorming and all the things she does as a writer. She told us about two of her books Mean Jean the Playground Queen and The Kite that Bridged two Nations. Mean Jean was about a girl that bullies people and ends making friends. The Kite was about a kid who makes a kite for a contest. The kite he flies ends up being groundwork for a bridge across Niagra Falls. On Friday me, Noah, and Parker went to go see the school Crespi. Crespi is the highschool I am planning to go to. There were many other 8th graders from schools all over the valley. The school was very nice and I am all the more excited to go. The school is very good because they specialize in learning for boys only. That is why I choose Crespi. That is all we did this week.
